An Introduction

Dylan Sirdofsky grew up in Sonoma County and graduated from Piner High School in 2009. After earning his associate degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences from the Santa Rosa Junior College in 2012, he decided to focus on writing and film at Sonoma State University. When he joined the Sonoma State Star weekly newspaper staff in spring 2013, his love for arts & entertainment flourished through a newfound interest in journalism.

Closing out his last two semesters as editor-in-chief, Dylan was honored in the Phillip McComb’s Scholarship Program from the San Francisco Public Relations Round Table in 2015. He graduated with distinction while earning a bachelor’s degree in Communication & Media Studies and an English minor.

Dylan became a freelance reporter for The Press Democrat in 2017, wrote for Sonoma West Publishers in 2019, and is now an Accessibility Specialist at Access Ingenuity. In his spare time, he creates entertainment reviews and recommendations on YouTube.
